Glenhaven Park Tower

Glenhaven Park is located in NE Portland and prior to this update, had some of the oldest playground equipment in the Portland Parks and Recreation system, some dating back to the 1970’s. Starting in January 2018, Portland Parks and Recreation began by gathering community input to determine what they would like to see, then presented the community with three options, and finishing with the design of a DNA Tower L.03 with a stainless steel tube slide from Berliner. This DNA Tower allows for 5-12 year old children to climb up more than 13 feet high inside the three story three-dimensional net. The park officially opened October of 2019. The design incorporated aspects of play for both younger and older kids, as well as creating a safe, fun, and challenging environment.
