Honowai Elementary School in Waipahu, HI, is home to the first-ever Under the Sea Wonderwall from Berliner Play Equipment. Designed for the youngest users at the preschool located within the elementary, it has multiple balancing elements, opportunities for social and imaginative play, games for independent or interactive play, and theming to reflect the ocean world around the islands of Hawaii. It also emphasizes textural differences for exploration and encourages sound exploration with the included drums. This piece was installed in 2024, along with a DNAL.03 Tower at the same site. The Hawaii Department of Education Facilities was a crucial partner in the creation of this imaginative piece which is now available as Wonderwalls.04 through Berliner.
