This unique shelter design was chosen by Michael Terrell Landscape Architecture for the Special Education courtyard at Spokane School District’s new Sacajawea Middle School. The impressive polycarbonate panels cast pleasing light patterns and provided an unusual sensory experience in the area below. Working with our partner ICON Shelter Systems we coordinated with the architect and the school district to customize a design that addressed their specific needs. The shelter was specified for bid in January of 2022 and erected in 2023. It is another design that reflects the ability and desire of our manufacturing partners to work hand in hand to customize each concept for the needs of our clients.
